The Hampshire Alliance for Rural Affordable Housing (HARAH)

The Hampshire Alliance for Rural Affordable Housing (HARAH) was formed in 2005 to address the demand for affordable housing in the villages of Hampshire.

The founding members; comprising six local authorities, the Hampshire Rural Housing Enablers and the HCA; undertook a comprehensive selection process to appoint Hyde as their RSL partner to manage and deliver these much needed affordable homes.

Drew Smith has supported Hyde in the successful delivery of 163 homes over twelve developments under this programme. There are a further two projects nearing completion and others at pre-development stage.

Our commitment to Hyde includes the preparation of feasibility studies, value management during design development, public consultation and liaison with Local Authorities, utility providers, specialist consultants and legal advisors.

Working in the Counties rural neighbourhoods presents many challenges. Our experience, sensitivity and appreciation of technical issues allows us to support the successful management of developing in rural communities from project conception through to post occupancy support and training.
